Voya Flow ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Data We Collect

• Account information — When you sign in with Apple, Google or email, we receive your user ID and, depending on the method, your name and email address. We use this to create your account.
• Calendar data — With your permission, we read today's calendar events to include in your briefing. This data is processed on-device and sent to our servers only to generate your briefing. We do not store your calendar data.
• Location — With your permission, we use your approximate location to provide weather information. Your approximate coordinates are sent to our weather provider, Open-Meteo, to get your forecast. We do not track or store your location history.
• Preferences — Your settings (personality, modules, voice, theme) are stored on your device and synced to our servers to generate your briefings.
• Usage data — We count briefings for rate limiting, and collect anonymous app usage statistics (for example, which features are used, when a brief is played, and whether a subscription is started) to understand how the app is used and improve it. This is linked to a random account ID, never to your name or email, and never includes the content of your briefings, calendar or location.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to generate and deliver your personalized morning briefing. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — Authentication and data storage.
• RevenueCat — Subscription management. Receives your account ID and App Store or Google Play purchase status, but not your briefing content.
• Anthropic (Claude) — Generates your briefing text. The data needed for your briefing (for example news headlines, weather and calendar event titles) is sent to Anthropic for processing under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to be used to train AI models.
• ElevenLabs — Converts your briefing text into speech. Only the briefing text is sent, to create the audio.
• Google Analytics for Firebase — Collects the anonymous app usage statistics described above. We do not use it for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
• Vercel Web Analytics — Counts visits to our website without cookies or personal identifiers.
• Google News — The app fetches public news headlines for the topics you choose. These requests do not include your account or personal details.
• Apple and Google — Sign-in (if you choose Sign in with Apple or Google) and subscription payments through the App Store or Google Play.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are kept in the app's private storage on your device (the Keychain on iPhone). We follow industry-standard security practices.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored on our servers.
• Delete your account and all associated data via the app's Settings.
• Opt out of optional data collection (calendar, location) by turning off those permissions in your phone's Settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

Children

Voya Flow is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
